One of the first places in the world to usher in the New Year happens to be one of the grandest in terms of celebrating it. The city of Sydney is easily one of the very best locations for someone hoping to party it up this year, and holds enough potential to make it one of the best you’ll ever have.
The primary event, experienced by over a billion people through its worldwide broadcast, happens to be a spectacular show of fireworks held over Sydney Harbor, with its center as the Harbor Bridge. It is singular in terms of the pyrotechnic techniques brought into usage. It takes place twice, the latter taking place at midnight, synchronized to a soundtrack, and multi-tiered, showcasing what is now famously referred to as the “bridge” effect. The organizers of the event make sure that they do they best to enable the audiences to have a good time, including putting up a map of appropriate vantage points where one could enjoy the fireworks without being too heckled.
The best vantage point, however, remains unlisted, according to the writer. The multiple cruises on offer have a host of unique specialties, such as floor shows, banquets, etc. Those looking for a relaxed evening could head over to the various restaurants which provide customized New Year’s Eve menus, such as Aria, the menu for which is customized by none other than star chef Matt Moran. The craziest times on offer are without a doubt offered by the range of beach parties, with places such as Opera Bar, which is often labelled “one of the best beer gardens in the world.” Still not convinced about your plans for the next New Year? Let the visual imagery below do the work for you!
