Hola foodies! What’s cooking in your kitchen?
If you are reading this post then definitely food is your life well for me it is. Though I might not eat much as my friends compare my diet with that of a bird but I love exploring new cuisines and tasting new dishes, sweets are my weakness (you can make me do anything in exchange of that :P)
Moving on, let’s go back to the past and get a glimpse of the best Banoffee pie I ever had. For those who don’t know what a Banoffee pie is, it is a pie made with bananas and toffee and because of this it is called Banoffee pie.
About four months ago me and my gang of girls went to this famous place called Rico’s (if you are a Delhi University student, then you definitely know which place I am talking about) after waiting for about forty-five minutes we were blesses with a table and we grabbed our seats. Everything we ordered that day was just awesome, be it the very berry smoothie or the heart shaped pizza (valentines madness). But the star of the day was the banoffee pie.
The following day was a Sunday so I decided to make my version of the banoffee pie. It wasn’t that good like what I had in Rico’s but it wasn’t that bad either (rather it was a nice try for a beginner).
So today I will be sharing the recipe of the pie with you so roll up your sleeves and get cooking.
Starting with the ingredient, take a paper and pen and start noting them down or you can just copy it if you technology friendly
400 grams digestive biscuits 200 grams butter 2 tins condensed milk 0.47 liters double cream 2 large bananas (ripe) 1 chocolate (for grating decoration)
If these grams run over your head like me then take a note of these cup measures
14 pcs. digestive biscuits 7 pcs. butter 2 tins sweetened condensed milk 1 pint heavy cream 2 large bananas (ripe) 1 chocolate (for grating decoration)
When you get all these ingredients in your basket you are half way through your work, but don’t skip mixing the most important ingredient which is your love.

Start with melting a butter and add crushed biscuits in it (enjoy that childish feeling of crushing the biscuit to the fullest), now spread that mixture on bottom of a tin and let it chill.
An easy way to make a toffee is to boil the tins of sweetened condensed milk for 2-2.5 hours and you will get a perfect toffee without any effort. Remember to submerge the tins into the water completely or else you will spend all your time in cleaning the ceiling.
Once you have completed making toffee let it cool down. When it cools spread the toffee over the biscuit base. The next step is to slice up a couple of ripe bananas on top of toffee (chop! Chop! Chop!). Now whip up the cream and spread over the bananas.
For the decoration part grate some chocolate or you can even try chocolate curls to show your creativity or you can just simply drizzle melted chocolate over the top and keep it for chill (or serve straight away) do it the way you want to!
An important tip: enjoy the pie with your loved once and serve it with a big broad smile.
Time for me to go so toodles and remember food is to be love not chewed!
