"Adieu" we said to our one and only model dost Prateek. And how. RED VELVET CAKE straight from the kitchens of our beloved Theobroma. This Messman family I tell you. You just can't mess with them.

Speaking about Theobroma, it is owned and managed by the Messman family, Theobroma is the brainchild of Kainaz, while sister Tina, dad Farokh and mum Kamal are involved in its day to day management. In a span of just a few years, Theobroma has won the hearts of many Mumbai-ites!

While this patisserie shop is also known for its Pies, tarts and brownies, this cake, if you try, will guarantee your next visit then and there. That confident I am when it comes to Red velvet cake. If you look at the picture carefully, you'll realize that its too rich (in taste) and for the riches. You get it right. The taste cannot be described. It's sweet with a pinch of tanginess which tickle your palates while melting inside your mouth. A stunning red and gloriously rich velvety texture. Quite dramatic when you cut into it and see the rich red color.

To be precise about the ingredients, Red Velvet is a cocoa sponge with added red food colour, layered with a vanilla cream cheese frosting. The tartness of the cream cheese frosting complements the sweet cocoa sponge. *pats his back*

And by the way, they also make Red Velvet Cake, Red Velvet Cupcakes and Red Velvet Brownies. *ogles* You mustn't see the right side of a menu if the left side tingles your taste buds already. You suddenly realise that the universe has conspired for you to fall in chocolate than in love . Every morsel devoured makes every cent out of your pocket worth it.

Now if you're wondering where's this haven, keep reading.

For my suburban friends Theobroma is located at Andheri Lokhandwala, Linking road Bandra west, BKC and Powai.

For the townies, you may visit Peddar road and Colaba branches An emotional farewell came to an end with tight hugs, teary eyes, and one sweet kilo of happiness.
