It's a Skirt Day

It’s time for some girly days! Yes, the weather is amazing in Delhi, windy and cloudy and it’s a perfect excuse to wear the long skirts which have been hiding away in our closet! These long skirts are not only pretty but also give you comfort and are airy. The flowy feel of it on your legs when you are walking around is comfortable.

Right now in my college all you can see girls wearing are long skirts. Be it white, green, pink, blue, black they are all the rage now and it’s comfy and can be mixed and matched with shirts and tops with matching jewelry. I have two long skirts and I love them. My aunt got me the white and black one from Jaipur that has elephant prints on it and is a wrap around. I wear it with a black top and then jumkhes. I love my silver jhumkes with them, they go well with the skirt and if possible few bangles too. I realized that the long skirts make you look thinner and suits most of the body types, only if you know how to carry it off.

I like wearing Indian like kurti and patiala but long skirts are my favorite right now. All the bright colors and prints are a total yes at the moment. And these are not just the simple ones; it can be the slit ones on one side or the high waist too. You can team them up with the crop top and nice pair of heels or wear a jacket on top to make it look funky. One thing you need to keep in mind is the way you carry it off with different other clothes.

It’s on you how you can carry them off. The tribal printed long skirts are in a huge rage right now. These skirts are fun to wear and can be teamed up with tops or shirts with can folded and tied on the side. You can wear them any how you want. And these can be worn anywhere you want, be it office, college or to party. All you have to do is get the matching jewelry for it and you are sorted! This time I have this crazy urge to buy long skirts and I guess it’s because they are comfortable and pretty and everyone’s wearing them! Some of my favorite brands are Splash which makes amazing long skirts.

And since it is the sale season I suggest you all go to the malls to shop and if you get anytime visit street shops too. This will be one of the lucky times when you will get to choose the kind and color of skirt you want and actually get it.
